Our Story

The old church school building at 366 Warwick Neck Avenue is taking on a wider purpose in this new season.

The 1959 hexagon-shaped building has been dramatically renovated to now function as a neighborhood space for greater Warwick residents. The beautiful property that includes the historic church built in the 1800s was on the market for sale after the pastor of Heritage retired.

If the property had been sold it’s possible that the buildings would have been leveled to build condos. Or it could have turned into offices for an insurance company. Those aren’t terrible things, but—we are excited that the property will continue to be a space that brings people together for good purposes!

The property was gifted to another local church (Warwick Hope). In the spring of 2023, Renaissance Church leased the property for the purpose of establishing a community space. Ren Church made some needed improvements to the space. A stage was built. Everything was cleaned and painted. Some carpet was installed. And some new furnishings were brought in.

Haven is made possible by the generosity of several local churches including Warwick Hope, Warwick Christian Fellowship and Renaissance Church.
